In a bid to speed up background checks on potential volunteers, the Basingstoke Voluntary Service is bidding to become an umbrella body of the Criminal Records Bureau.
The service would be able to process more than 100 CRB’s per year, which are needed for people working with vulnerable people and children.
BSV are calling on organisations looking to process CRB’s through them to register their interest.
