Cash raised for NSPCC

BIG-HEARTED residents donned leotards and gym kits to take part in a national charity drive. The NSPCC’s national Aerobathon came to Basingstoke for the first time with a two-hour workout to raise funds. The event, held at Queen Mary’s College, took place on Monday, February 8 with cash going towards vulnerable children. Joanna Winsborough, NSPCC community fundraising manager, said: “This is the first time the event has taken place in the area, and there was a great atmosphere.

“I would like to thank everyone who took part in the Aerobathon and the staff at the Queen Mary’s Sports Centre who made the event such a success. “It is thanks to everyone involved that we are on target to raise a record amount of money.” For was to support NSPCC locally contact the south east appeals team on 01293 651841.
