Family pay tribute to 'brilliant' son

The family of tragic Tadley teenager Mark Ivermee have released a statement about their ‘brilliant son’.

The 18-year-old, of Birch Road, Tadley, was died after his blue Renault Clio was involved in a collision outside The Broomsquire Hotel. His vehicle struck a parked car and hit a tree before coming to rest on its roof. Mark was taken to North Hampshire Hospital with serious injuries, but later died.

His family said: “Our family have been touched by call the support and messages. Mark was a brilliant son, grandson, brother, nephew and cousin. He never caused us any trouble. He was a local boy who loved his work and he always worked hard. We all miss him dearly.”

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident and anyone who saw the car prior to the crash, which happened at about 11.15pm on Monday, March 22. The passenger in the vehicle, a 19-year-old man also from Tadley, sustained minor head injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. Silchester Road was closed for six-and-a-half hours while collision investigators from the Farnborough Roads Policing Unit conducted a detailed forensic examination of the scene.
