The contractor to spearhead the regeneration of Basing View has been announced by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
The demolition of City Wall House and Loddon House will restart at the end of March as workmen and machinery from Erith Construction Ltd roll in.
The borough council hopes that the two 1970s, 10-story buildings will be completely destroyed by September.
The move comes after previous contractor, the Armoury Group, went bust just before Christmas.
Leader of the borough council, Andrew Finney, said: “The demolition company going into administration was unfortunate, but we are delighted to announce that a new contractor has been appointed and we expect this work to be completed in the autumn within the earmarked growth point funding we received from central government.
“Throughout this project the council has remained totally committed to creating a 21st century urban business park of regional importance, as part of our transformation of Basingstoke town centre.”
Work stopped site on December 23 and the buildings have remained half demolished.
Erith was originally shortlisted to carry out the work when the job was put out to tender, but the council plumped for Armoury.
The overall budget for the scheme has risen to £2.163m and the borough council’s cabinet green lighted the release of an extra £0.2m to cover the costs of the new contractor.
The borough council has terminated the Armoury contract and can claim for an £80,000 performance bond.
Once the buildings are cleared, the site will be landscaped until the borough council finds a developer to start the regeneration.
The long-term project will see five sites in Basing View spruced up in a bid to make the town more attractive to investors.
The council is currently searching for a high profile developer to revamp the ageing business park over the next 15 years.
The borough plan is to see a mixture of office space, hotels, leisure facilities and shops to be built.
A council spokesperson said that a great deal of interest had been shown by property companies and it is hoped council chiefs will appoint a developer by summer.
