A burglar was scared off by a dog after breaking into a Basingstoke home.
The break-in took place between 6.30am and 10am on Saturday at a house in Bennett Close.
The occupier returned home from work to find her front door blocked by boxes.
When she got in, she discovered her living room had been searched and the window forced open.
Nothing was taken and it’s believed the dog may have scared the burglar away.
