Pubgoers pull out all the stops for children's hospice

Staff at a Turgis Green pub pulled all the stops for a money spinning party for a north Hampshire hospice.

The Jekyll and Hyde hosted their annual charity on August 2 and bagged £2,517 for Naomi House Children’s Hospice.  The Sutton Scotney centre is the chosen charity of the pub’s owners Hall and Woodhouse ltd.

The pub’s manager Wayne Morris said he was happy with the total raised. “This is an annual charity event and each year I am pleasantly surprised by the generosity of our guest,” he said.  “We are very pleased to have been able to raise money for Naomi House and jacksplace as they support families in the area in which my team live and work.”

The evening bash auctioned of tickets for the CB40 cricket league at Hampshire’s Rose Bowl.  Corporate fundraiser for the hospice Fiona Hansford said: “As we do receive less than 15 per cent of our funding from the government we do rely on the support we receive from local communities.”
