BASINGSTOKE council has obtained an order to evict travellers camped on its land.
Caravans have been parked in Jays Close on Viables industrial estate since the weekend.
One caravan is located in a lay-by near Huawei offices and the other is parked on a grass verge next to the ITT Cannon offices.
Two concrete bollards belonging to Hampshire County Council were damaged.
Council spokeswoman Krissy Lloyd declined to comment on who was responsible for the damage to the bollards. She said the council has completed welfare checks required before they can serve a notice of eviction to move on the travellers.
Council leader Andrew Finney said: “It does not surprise me that travellers are about and parked in the borough.
“They have caused a nuisance before and the borough council will put all measures in place to ensure that their effect is minimised.”
