Theft from Basingstoke office

Crime-police-tapePolice are appealing for witnesses after a theft from an office in Basingstoke on Friday, August 27.

At around 2.45pm the BSM driving school office in Church Street was broken into. The rear door of the office was forced open and an envelope containing £132 was then stolen.

Appeal for jewellery owner

Week35_police_jewellery-1Police believe that some unclaimed items of jewellery could belong to someone in Hampshire and are appealing for the owner to come forward.

The items, which were recovered from a bin on January 15 in Southampton contain, what police believe to be valuable and sentimental items.

Winklebury attack

Crime-police-tapePolice are warning people to remain vigilant when walking in secluded areas after a man was attacked in Winklebury on Friday, August 13.

The attack happened at 5.30am as a 39-year-old man was walking along a footpath by West Ham Leisure Park, Worting Road.

A man was walking towards him and asked him if he had a cigarette. He said he didn’t smoke and carried on walking.

Cruel blow for charity scheme

Week34_shaw_trust2A charity is appealing for help after it had £17,000 of new equipment stolen by thieves.

The Shaw Trust's Basingstoke Horticultural Project is urging businesses and organisations to help provide secure storage for its gardening equipment.

Thieves struck at the charity's Elizabeth Road allotment premises, South Ham on Monday August 16.
