crime-policemenA cyclist was injured in a hit-and-run accident in Ashe on Tuesday September 21.

The accident between a cyclist and a grey or silver Land Rover at the Ashe crossroad on the B3400 happened just before 6pm when the 33-year-old cyclist was knocked off his bike and fell across the bonnet of the car and onto the road. He suffered a broken back.

The Land Rover driver failed to stop and drove off towards Hannington.

The cyclist saw part of the registration number, which was MJ08.
