Hundreds of pounds stolen from supermarket

Around £700 was stolen from a supermarket in Hook when a thief stole from a till last month.

The incident occurred at around 9.30pm on Friday, May 28 when a man grabbed a large bag of change from a till point.

He then ran out of the store with the bag, thought to contain around £700.

He is described as white, aged between 25 and 30 with short dark hair wearing blue jeans, a black t shirt, a black zip up jacket and white trainers.

PC Stacey Beale, of the Hook Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said: “This theft happened when the shop was still open and there may have been other customers inside who saw the man responsible.

“We would ask anyone who was in Tesco that night and saw anything suspicious to contact us as soon as possible.”
