Police have released an e-fit image of a teen involved in an assault in the town earlier this month.
A 48-year-old man was walking along Packenham Road at around 3am on Friday, June 4 when he was approached by a group of four teenagers wearing hooded tops.
The group assaulted him and stole a watch before running off towards South Ham. The victim suffered a collapsed lung and fractured ribs following the attack.
PC Carrin Carey of the Basingstoke Carey, of the Basingstoke Targeted Patrol Team, said: “We have released the e-fit image in the hope that someone may recognise the person pictured.
“It was an unprovoked attack which left the victim with nasty injuries.
“If you recognise the teenager in the image please contact us as soon as possible.”
