Police warning after Pamber Heath burglary

Crime-police-tapeMORE than £1,000 worth of electrical items were stolen from a Pamber Heath property this week.

Mobile phones, laptops and a digital camera were taken from an address in Ilex Close sometime between 11.30pm on Monday, February 22 and 6.55am on Tuesday, February 23.

Access was gained through the front door before the items were taken.

PC Stephan West, of the Whitchurch Targeted Patrol Team, said: “Although this burglary happened in a quiet, residential road someone may have been disturbed and witnessed it.

“If you have any information please contact us as soon as possible.

“This burglary happened after an implement was put through the letter box to pull down the handle from inside.

“I want to remind residents that it is very important that doors are double locked to prevent this kind of entry.

“If you double lock the door with the key then it cannot be opened from the inside or outside without using the key.”

Anyone with information can contact PC West at Whitchurch police station on 101 or by calling the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
