A Basingstoke school marked a significant milestone in the construction of a new sports hall with a ‘topping out’ ceremony last month.
The roof on the new facility at Bishop Challoner School was competed on Friday, May 28.
The project has been handled by Leadbitter Group, who joined pupils and teachers at the event.
Head teacher Anthony Corish said: “We are delighted with our new sports hall. It will enable us to provide an even bigger range of sport for our students and build on an already excellent sporting and academic tradition.”
Dave Cook, Regional Director of Leadbitter’s Southern Housing and Construction Division, said: “This ceremony marks a significant milestone in the construction of this state-of-the-art building. Leadbitter is delighted to be able to bring all our experience and expertise to this project, which will provide students and staff at Bishop Challoner School with a first class sporting facility.”
