An Overton wildlife charity hopes to move its operations to Medstead by May.
Hart Wildlife Rescue held its Annual General Meeting at Overton Community Centre last month to update members on the transfer after the charity outgrew its current Overton base.
After more than a year’s struggle Hart were able to find a suitable plot near Alton and builders have begun work to bring it into use.
Trustee John Hodge said: “We have had tremendous support from the farm owners. While we have had to make some compromises on our original plans this site is perfect for us. It is ideally situated in our catchment area and there is every possibility that we will be able to develop its full potential as a wildlife haven over the coming years and fulfil our educational objectives.”
