A festival championing films shot and produced in Basingstoke and north Hampshire returns to the town's Central Studio on September 10 and 11.
Launched last year, this month's Red Carpet Screenings Film Festival has been expanded to two days for the first time, and will show national and international productions as well as those made in the borough.
Founder Seb Hall told the Journal: "There is so much material being produced in and around Basingstoke our first event tried to get as much coverage for those films as possible. Now we've started to branch out. By screening Basingstoke films alongside those from around the country and the world, we can show audiences they stand shoulder to shoulder with them in terms of quality and entertainment."
Seb Hall said films to be screened include the first episode of the Meat web-series, which follow on from the original short film shot in the town. Homicidal housemates Simon and Fletch have fled town in a hurry and while short on cash, have reluctantly taken a lodger into their new home.
Others include the short film 8-Ball, a story about an encounter between two strangers and how a chance meeting can affect you in a way you'd never expect, and Footsteps, a chilling story about a young woman's fear of being followed as she walks home from work.
Mark Brennan, a filmmaker and regular at Red Carpet Screening's Film Festivals, said: "Seeing Red Carpet Screenings develop into a two-night event is a real achievement and I can't wait to see some of the films that will be on offer."
Other shows include documentaries and sitcoms, while every featured filmmaker will be interviewed live on stage at Central Studio. BBC Radio Oxford's Phil Gayle and BBC Radio Berkshire's Bill Buckley have also agreed to be guest panellists at the event. The festival starts at 7pm on both days. Tickets cost £7.
