BASINGSTOKE sporting stars will be honoured at an annual event next month. The Mayor’s Sports Awards take place on Tuesday, March 2 to celebrate the achievements of athletes, coaches, volunteers and officials.
Categories include junior men, senior men, team categories, volunteer and more. Cllr Brian Gurden, Mayor of Basingstoke, commented: “It’s always a great pleasure to celebrate success in any field success in any field of endeavour, but I am particularly pleased to honour our young stars from so many different sports. “Years of hard work and dedication lie behind their achievements – Basingstoke and Deane is rightly proud of them all.”
