BisonLogo-10The Basingstoke Bison secured a long overdue four point weekend with convincing back-to-back wins.

On Saturday the English Premier League outfit had their revenge on Milton Keynes Lightning, beating them 5-1 on home ice, six days after losing 2-0 on their own patch.

And on Sunday, the Herd’s run of good form continued with the Bison coming out on top after penalties against second place Slough Jets.

The Bison remain sixth in the league standings, three points behind the Lightning.

Bison back on form with new year wins

BisonLogo-10The Bison have bagged their third win on-the-trot, finally consigning their December losing streak to history.

The Herd topped the Guildford Flames on New Year’s Eve and continued their winning run with a penalty shootout win against the Peterborough Phantom’s on Monday.

The Herd lie sixth in the English Ice Hockey premier league, trailing Manchester Phoenix and a point ahead of Swindon Wildcats.

Tempers flare as Bison lose to Sheffield

BisonLogo-10The Bison’s topsy-turvy run of form took a turn for the worse after they lost 4-5 to the visiting Sheffield Steeldogs on Saturday.

The loss follows a double defeat, and a win in a three games the week before.

Bison lie in sixth in the English Premiere Ice Hockey League after 25 games played. Saturdays loss sees them record 11 defeats this season to 10 wins

Weekend collapse for the Bison

BisonLogo-10The Bison’s run of good form came to a crushing halt over the weekend, with two losses.

On Saturday, the Herd left home fans disappointed with their  1-5 loss against Manchester Phoenix.

And on Sunday, league strugglers Bracknell Bee’s dominated the visiting Bison, winning 3-1.

The zero point weekend ended the Bison’s run of six wins on the trot and provided a sharp contrast to last weekend’s 14 goal haul against Slough, and Swindon.

Goals galore as Bison end their slump

BisonLogo-10BASINGSTOKE Bison secured two wins over the weekend, treating their fans to seven goals in each outing.

On Saturday, they downed Slough Jets 7-3 away, with Nicky Chinn scoring a hat trick. Then on Sunday, the Herd tamed Swindon Wildcats 7-2 at home, with Daniel Volrab taking a hat trick honours.
