Town's perfect start continues with win over Weston

basingstoke-FCBasingstoke Town's perfect start to the Blue Square South season continued with a 4-1 win over Weston-super-Mare at the Camrose on Tuesday night.

The victory made it two wins out of two for Frank Gray's side, who lie third in the league behind Dover and Woking on goal difference.  Gray was able to name an unchanged side for the fixture, and there were only five minutes on the clock when Stuart Lake put the home side ahead.

Sam-Yorke brace ensures perfect start for Dragons

basingstoke-FCBasingstoke Town got their season off to a fine start with a 2-0 victory over Eastleigh at the Silverlake Stadium on Saturday.

It was the dragons’ best start to a season since Sergio Torres and Mark Peters bagged the goals against Dorchester in August 2005.  Six years on it was Delano Sam-Yorke with two well-taken goals that ensured the points were secured for the away side.

Basingstoke hold Reading XI to 2-2 draw

basingstoke-FCBasingstoke Town fans' hopes for the coming season received a timely boost after the Dragons held a Reading XI to a 2-2 at the Camrose on Saturday.
