Hook racer Archie Hamilton has announced he will compete in the Formula Renault UK Finals Series and is looking to take the championship.
The six-round championship will start at Snetterton on Saturday and Sunday and then Rockingham on November 12.
More than 20 cars are expected to enter the event, including from Formula Renault UK, Formula Renault BARC and Formula Renault Eurocup teams. Hamilton will compete in the BARC class, racing in the car he drove throughout the summer season.
The 20-year-old said: “I have definitely more to get out of the Formula Renault. I was struggling on power until the last round at Silverstone, so my focus for the winter series is to win as many races as I can and win my first single-seater title.
“It’s going to be very different, we had 12 races over seven months, so having six races in eight days is going to present a different challenge. I’m really looking forward to it.”
