Hook speedster Archie Hamilton will get behind the wheel of a Lamborghini in an event in Dubai.
The 20-year-old competes in the NGK UAE GT Championship tomorrow (Friday), driving a Gulf Racing Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 alongside Stuart Hall.
The last-minute entry will prep the youngster for next January’s 24-hour race at the Dubai Autodrome.
Hamilton’s one-off race will be the third race in the eight round championship.
He said: “I received this last minute call-up thanks to my sponsors, Delaney. Although I have not raced the car before, I did test it a couple of months ago in Magny Cours in France and put in some quick lap times.
“I am looking forward to the race, which will be a good preparation for me, as I shall be competing in the 24-hour race there in January.”
“I have achieved all I can in single-seaters and am now ready for the next step on my career ladder.
“I shall be moving to sports cars full-time for the 2012 season, and this is something I am very excited about.”
