Smash dents Collard's great return

A controversial incident in Round Three of the 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) at Thruxton on Saturday saw Hook hero, Rob Collard, taken out of the lead of the race through a reckless piece of driving from Matt Neal.

Collard and 2009 Championship winning team, West Surrey Racing, instead ended with his BMW 320si car badly damaged in the crash barriers.

Although the BTCC officials reviewed the incident after the race, they are carrying forward their investigation in order to review further evidence. A decision will be made at the next event at Rockingham on 24-25 April if any action will be taken against Neal.
