ATHLETICS: A depleted Basingstoke and Mid Hants struggled in their final British Men's League fixture of the season in Derby on Saturday.
There were only two winners on the day, with mainstay Andy Blow claiming first in the 110m hurdles in 15.21secs and Dean Showler-Davis winning the B string pole vault with a jump of 3.6m.
Basingstoke finished fifth overall in Division 2 and will be joined in the league next season by Crawley and Blackheath, who were relegated from Division 1, and Glasgow and Kingston, both promoted from Division 3.
