The Buffalo ice hockey squad banked another high scoring win against Oxford City Stars on Saturday.
The high-flying Buffalo, who lie fifth in ENL South 2, but with at least three games in hand over the top four, trumped the Stars 9-4 on home ice.
Up-and-coming striker, Cameron Wynn, 16, bagged a hat-trick, including two goals six seconds apart in the second period.
By the end of the first buzzer, the Buffalo led 2-1 following goals from Daniel Lackey, and Matt Lawday.
The damage was done in the second half. On 28 minutes Wynn netted his first, and added a second inside six seconds. Then Jason Woodgate made it 5-2. Four minutes earlier the Stars had evened the scoreline.
Wynn got his third after the half hour mark, followed shortly by Simon Beere netting his first of the evening.
The second period ended 7-4 to a dominant Buffalo.
The final period saw goals from Ben Duffy and Tom Pope to give the Buffalo the win.
Speaking after the match, team manager Andy Worship said the win had put them in good stead to take on Romford Fury on Saturday, who they drew against 4-4 in October.
He said: “It was very good game, we had that second period where we just woke up a scored a crucial five goals.
We were missing a few key players, but we now have the full compliment of players.
“We are stringing together a line of wins that we want to continue with, we are riding on a high.”
