Basingstoke ObserverBASINGSTOKE school boys u12s have made history by winning the district cup in Hampshire.
This Basingstoke district side has been going since the1970s and this is the first ever triumph for Basingstoke as a district .
They claimed victory during a closely contested cup final game against Southampton school boy league u12s.
Fin Butler scored the first goal for Basingstoke District and following a penalty from Vincely Mudame, the team were 2-0 up at half time.
It was definitely a game of two halves as Southampton levelled the match before a second penalty from Vincely made the final score 3-2 and Basingstoke District were declared as Hampshire Cup Winners.
