Basingstoke ObserverA RECENT fundraising event held in aid of the NHS Hampshire Hospitals Neuroendocrine Cancer Team raised the sum of £1625.
The event held at The Irish Centre in Basingstoke was well supported by patients, families, friends, and staff from both the unit and the hospital.
Jim McArthur, a patient at the unit and organiser of the event presented the cheque to Specialist Cancer Nurse Barbara King and Professor John Ramage.
Jim said: “We would like to thank all those who attended and supported the event, in particular the Irish Centre, the Mantons band, the Small Strings band and the support acts.”
