Basingstoke ObserverA BOOK celebrating local talent has been published.
The Hampshire Collection published by Tim Saunders Publications features poetry and short stories by twenty selected Hampshire writers and some of their work features places in the county.
Creator Tim Saunders shared: “It has been a wonderful project that has introduced me to some really great local talent. I have received some absolutely fantastic poems and short stories. It has been a privilege to discover so many writers on my doorstep and I am really proud of this book.”
The contributors include Maria Ellis from Odiham who painted the front cover of bluebells at The Vyne, Basingstoke and Arron Williams from Basingstoke.
Tim’s next project is a fundraiser for Ukraine. “Within the next few months I will be publishing a book celebrating freedom and hope with 100 per cent of the royalties going to the Sunflower of Peace Foundation, , a non-profit organization committed to helping Ukrainians affected by the Russian military invasion.”
Tim now needs more unpublished poetry of up to 30 lines and short stories of up to 1,000 words on the subjects of freedom and hope. The deadline is 1 June
