Chris Pizzey and Debbie McGee

Cinderella Shall Go To The Ball

ANVIL Arts and UK Productions have announced that taking the role of Fairy Godmother in this year’s traditional Christmas pantomime is Debbie McGee.

Debbie’s career has spanned the widest range of show business genres, incorporating Classical ballet, Dance, Cabaret, Theatre and Television.

Debbie is best known for working with her husband, the late Paul Daniels, in the longest running TV magic Show in the world The Paul Daniels Magic Show, and, in 2017, reaching the final in the hit BBC 1 show Strictly Come Dancing, partnering Giovanni Pernice. Debbie is also known for her long-running Sunday show on BBC Radio Berkshire, which she hosted for 12 years.

Debbie is very excited to be appearing in Cinderella at The Anvil Basingstoke this Christmas. Paul and Debbie loved performing their magic shows here.

Back by popular demand and joining Debbie is The Basil Brush Show’s Chris Pizzey. He’ll bring plenty of mayhem and gags to the role of Buttons.

Poor Cinderella works hard day and night while her spiteful ugly sisters do nothing. But when she meets her Fairy Godmother, her life starts to change in all sorts of wonderful ways.

With laugh out loud jokes, stunning scenery, beautiful costumes, and two gorgeous Shetland ponies, join Cinders and make your dreams come true at The Anvil.

Performances will take place across the festive season from Friday 9 December 2022 to Monday 2 January 2023 at The Anvil.
